Summer Recap: PAG Summer Meetings Summary

By 10/03/2019 News

Although it doesn’t feel like it with these temperatures, summer has officially come and gone! The project team stayed busy distilling the public feedback received since the Fall of 2018 and using it to create a policy framework that guided the initial comprehensive plan draft. Along the way, members of the Plan Advisory Group (i.e., the resident steering committee or “PAG”) provided comments to refine the plan’s policies, content, and appearance. Overall, the PAG met four times to accomplish the following:

  • June: Policy Framework and Plan Outline Review
  • July: Draft Plan – Module 1 Review (Ch. 1, 4)
  • August 1: Draft Plan – Module 2 Review (Ch. 2)
  • August 2: Draft Plan – Modules 3 Review (Ch. 3, 5, 6)

Each of these meetings entailed an overview of the plan content, lively discussion, and exercises tailored to solicit more detailed input. The project team used feedback at each of these meetings to make further adjustments to the plan. In total, the project team received around 300 comments related to the plan. As we look ahead to the fall and the unveiling of the draft plan, we want to say a special thank you to our PAG members for giving their time and energy to this effort!
