The Exploration Survey is closed, but we will report out our findings starting in January.
Between October and December over 640 surveys were collected as part of the initial round of public engagement. Survey respondents rated the importance and success of implementing Davidson’s Planning Principles. In addition, people were asked what they loved about Davidson and what they saw as challenges and opportunities for Davidson over the next 10-20 years. The survey was accessible across many different mediums: From both online and paper versions to large, interactive boards that residents completed with stickers while out and about at different activities such as college athletic events, the farmer’s market, and others places. Hard copies of the survey were also distributed throughout the community, including at area places of worship, town hall, and the library. Click here to see a copy of the Exploration Survey. Staff would like to thank all participants that took the survey and encourage people to stay involved!
Even though this part of the process is over, keep following What’s Next for additional engagement opportunities and the chance to have your voice heard. Coming up in January is the Conversations on What’s Next community workshop, where we’ll report on the survey feedback received, discuss the results of the Community Snapshot Report, and hear your ideas about how to envision “what’s next” for Davidson.
